Activities at the event

For the kids, we'll have balloon artist Twisty Britt making balloon creations, and Paige Paints Too offering face painting throughout the evening. For the first 1,000 visitors, the Oregon Chinese Coalition is offering free bamboo lanterns to light up the night! Visit the OCC's tent at the center of the event for more craft activities and games.

Stop by the photo station, offered by Oregonian Media Group and Here is Oregon, and don't forget to pose for a pic at the glowing selfie-wings, presented by Schilling Lights on Lark.

Made in Milwaukie will offer live T-shirt screen printing (watch how it's done!) and local businesses and nonprofits will have booths, many offering free goodies. TeaZen will provide demonstrations of traditional Chinese tea service. We'll have all kinds of food available for purchase, from pulled-pork sandwiches and pizza, to Chinese and Mexican cuisine. For dessert? Try locally-made ice cream or tanghulu – a Chinese treat of fresh fruit and sugar. Migration Brewing and pFriem Family Brewers – both new to downtown Milwaukie – will be serving up beer on site. The entire event area will be fenced, and adults with wristbands can have beer anywhere within the space.

Open businesses in Milwaukie on NYE
